not sure if he will win the state meet or not but he sure does have a chance to. Shawnbrey McNeal, the 2 time defending state champion in the event from Dallas Madison, will try to win his third title

he's done it the last 2 years - he'd be the obvious choice - Shawnbrey is one fast dude!

I'm hoping Stefon Hargrove does well at Regionals and makes it to State and if he does - takes the gold - and if not gold - then a repeat at the Silver.

www.texastrack.com has just about all of the district meet times:

Shawnbrey hasnt really run much this year. I dont know how fast he will be at the State Meet. He only ran a 10.94 at his District Meet but then again he wasnt pushed at all either. I will see him run this weekend!

don't forget the crazy winds at some meets. District 7-3A had kids left at home that ran 10.56 and 10.73 in the 100m dash. Craziness!!!

From what I gather Shawnbrey hasn't been as interested in track as he has been in the past. He's just been doing enough to win and that's about it.

The three favorites are probably Stephon Hargrove (Cuero), McNeal (Dallas Madison), and Skye Green (Sweetwater). I've also seen Bill Lawhorn's (Giddings) name pop up a lot. He won the 100 at the Texas Relays with a FAT of 10.63 and also has the second-fastest time in the state in the 400.

Just a few names I've seen looking at TexasTrack.com.
