Hosted 5A Victoria Memorial today in a DH. VM won the first game 9-5!!! :eek: :eek: First game girls have lost since sometime in early March. :( Lots of errors and mental mistakes and not enough hits when they needed them.

In the 2nd game we looked MUCH better. Winning 7-1. :clap: :clap: Girls looked like they had a fire lit under them after that first game. ;)

These were good warm-up games for us. We faced some quality pitching, defense & offense! :thumbsup:

Have another warm up game at home against 2A Odem on Thursday at 7pm, in Sinton. :)

Girls looked like they had a fire lit under them after that first game.

I was sitting right at the left end of the dugout. Someone DID light a fire under them.;)

I think the loss in the first warm up game is a good thing. Let them remember what defeat tastes like now so that they don't get too cocky during the playoffs.

It should teach them not to take a "cavalier" attitude toward any game/team. They almost got run-ruled on their home field in the first game. They finally managed 5 runs after that was pointed out to them. Too many missed opportunities, too many errors, too many misjudged balls. Second game looked like a complete turn-around from the first. Sinton is a very tough team to beat when they have their heads in the game. Stay focused ladies, good things are about to happen.;)
