The only info i have on who has applied for the job,was told there have been some hc/ad from class 1/2a schools,some coordinator's from 3/4a schools and one name that everybody in wharton knows and that is former football stand out Anthony Ray.I think they will have a new coach by the middle of may.

his bro is on the school board.

he played years ago. has been a coach most recently at one of the round rock schools. was at baylor for a while.

If he were to get the job it just would not look to good,with his brother being on the school board.

Since Wharton needs a coach now, Im pulling for A.Ray. Maybe a new young coach can bring a little more spunk to the program.

Just read that article, now i can't wait till tommorrow! There are some really good finalists, I think that if the school board is lookiing for the change that they say they want, Anthony Ray and Van Zant would be a good choice IMO.

Was Russell Roberts the most recent AD/HC?

If so, he used to be in Giddings years ago...

Yes he is the most recent AD/HC for Wharton... and yes he was in Giddings years ago... i hope that the school board makes the right decision on the new AD/HC
