Ummmm... can't remember, what are the one's called with the three leads (Yellow, White, Red), composite or component? I think it's component. If you have a HDTV, and you already have the composite one's (5 leads) for the PS2, those will work. However, HDMI is easier and supposedly better, though.

You getting one?

I don't remember what all is in the box. Is the video cables pretty much what you wanted to know? I still have my box at home. There may be a paper in there that lists the contents...

Yeah I just bought one on eBay for $500 new + 25 in shipping. That saves about $125 over the in-store price I would've paid in July once NCAA 08 comes out. If the component cables I already have will work then I will try those out before buying HDMI's. Has anybody bought the ps2 controller adapter for the ps3? I have 2 wireless ps2 controllers and was thinking about using those as additional controllers. You can find a cheap adapter for $5 or so online.

Is that new in the box? If so, great deal!

I haven't heard of a ps2 controller adapter. You sure that will work?

Yeah it's new in the box. From the sellers other auctions and from talking to him...it sounds like he works at a Wal-Mart or some place where he's able to buy these items with employee discount and then sell them on eBay.

I'm not sure on the adapter thing but for $5 I might give it a shot...

Composite in the box, and you can't use standard component cables with it since Sony uses a special a/v out jack for analog output (If you have component cables for the PS2 they should work). A regular HDMI cable works if you want to go that route. But of course, not included in the box, but any HDMI cable will work.

Anybody know about the ps2 online question??/

What was the online question?

Adidas410s

if I put in a ps2 game (ie NCAA 2007) and wanted to play it online on my ps3...would I be able to?

Just play a game that has the network configuration stuff on it, and you should be fine. Setup a virtual memory card on the PS3 hard drive and save the settings and you should be good to go form that point on.

good good...now that I share a wireless connection with my neighbors I haven't been able to plug in my ps2 to play games online and I've been looking forward to playing again. This is great indeed!:)

Pretty sure ps3s and xbox 360s have little to no markup price. If there is it can't be more than $10-$15

There has to be some reason that this guy is selling various electronic items at a decent clip below cost...for example:

Xbox 360 Premium - $325 buy it now
Apple 30GB iPod - $190 buy it now

The only discount he has is five finger.

He's including receipts from Wal-Mart with his items too. I wonder if he's buying defective items somewhere and using the lack of enforcement of Wal-Mart's return policy to swap it out for a new one. Oh well...he's got 100% feedback and a solid track record so I'm not too worried.

I wouldn't worry either as long as it works. No way for you to know if it was stolen or returned or something.

true...he guarantees that the product isn't DOA and will exchange the item for you if it is so I'm not too worried.

i've played my battlefront II (for ps2) online before on my ps3. so, i would think any game from ps2 that had online capability should also be capable on the ps3. seems like it took me a couple of tries to get the settings right. but it works flawlessly now. BTW, you can also surf and post to 3ADL on your PS3, like I am doing now. ;)

you don't have to have a keyboard. one pops up on the screen that you can use your controller to "punch". but i picked up a cheap $17 usb k/b and it's much faster.
