LE wins 16-3A with no-hitter

It was a pitchers' duel between L-E's Lacey Middlebrooks and Pleasant Grove's Jenna Hillis. Middlebrooks tossed a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts in beating PG, 2-0. L-E is now 19-3 and finished 16-3A play with a perfect 8-0 record. The Lady Hawks' season ended at 15-10. They're a playoff caliber team, but it was a tough district with Pittsburg and Mount Vernon battling for second and third. (from Txk Gazette)

TLE has wrapped up the district title, but there were still a couple of games to be played between the other teams (5 team district).
Mt Vernon was in 2nd, Pittsburg in 3rd. Probably will be the finish. Lots of summer ball players on both.
