LMAO

I think the teams has gotten better the past couple of years. I don't think they had too tough a schedule though, which may explain their record and why they are not higher up.

Does Mathis really have Moody transfers or is this just a joke?

Mathis beat Sinton earlier this year. Why aren't they ranked higher?

If they can do it again Phil than they will be. I think they are where they are because of a week schedule.

where is Cuero? they were in there last week

Cuero lost to Yoakum in a dist. game. They will play the last dist. game in Yoakum. Yoakum is undefeated in dist. and Cuero has one lost. Should be a very good game. Yoakum played a lot better defense than Cuero in the first game and that was the difference in the game. Not much difference in talent between the teams.
As far as ranking not sure they mean a lot when 2 rivals play. They beat us last year when we were ranked in top 20.

In the first game against Mathis lots of errors were made, hopefully that won't happen again. Gonna be a night full of surprises. I encourage all to attend!!! :)

Jasper lost on Saturday so they'll drop some as well. Or does this poll reflect Saturday?

Yeah, that Hardin-Jefferson Hawk train rolled right through Silsbee on it's way to Jasper. What a brutal district 21-3A has turned out to be.

Cuero was in the top 10, but the loss to Yoakum and then to Victoria Memorial (5A), probably sent them out of the top 20. I was in town two weeks ago and saw Cuero play Gonzales. Cuero is pretty good, and should make a good run into the playoffs.

The upgraded Cuero baseball field is impressive, and I must say I had a great time!

I like your prediction ... LE is a very different team this year - not better, not worse, but definitely different. 16-3A was not as strong this year as last, and the leopards did not see as much of the type pitching they need to see going into the playoffs. We have high hopes and high expectations, though. The chemistry is good again, and that was a major factor last year. Everyone wants to win a state championship ... and then you have to live up to yourself! I know, I know, hard problem to have, but it effects everyone's approach.

Wet field causes errors. I knew it would be different on a dry field if we didn't GIVE it away.;)

Jasper took out Silsbee tonight 5-3 so the race stays TIGHT! For the moment Jasper and Bridge City are tied for first. If both Jasper and BC win Tuesday night, then their game next Friday should be for first place in district 21-3a.

BC's Tuesday game is against HJ, so that should be no cake walk for them. If HJ wins we could easily be looking at a four way tie for first place, with each team having 3 losses. This is one tough district it appears.
