Yep thats the best way to avoid it.

I had a buddy take his laptop to the IT dept here at ASU because they'll fix your comp for free sometimes and they told him to quit looking at porn and his computer would work better. It was hilarious.

go to edit your profile, edit in safe mode, click on edit comments, and delete the people from there...

also, go through your friends list and delete the "profiles that no longer exist"

You should have an email with a link you are supposed to click to unphish it.
