USA TODAY (April 16) - A few weeks ago, royal watchers were speculating on when Britain's Prince William and his beloved girlfriend Kate Middleton would announce their engagement. Now they are asking: What happened? There aren't many solid answers. After more than four years together, William, 24, and Middleton, 25, ended their whirlwind romance, TheSun tabloid reported Saturday. Clarence House, the official residence of the prince, has declined to comment but has affirmed the basic fact.

you're probably right - I can't imagine trying to raise a family with all that attention - much less try to have a "normal" relationship with a Prince.
