heres a video i recorded last summer when i was working on the wind turbines south of Sweetwater....done it for the past 4 summers, pretty neat stuff!!

That is cool stuff. I was in France last summer and drove through miles of wind turbine farms. Giant and most were GE.

I remember on our way to Minnesota in '03 we went through North Central Iowa and there were thousands of wind turbines in the distance (mostly West of I-35)... it was pretty cool because that's pretty much the only thing to look at there...

Thats crazy!!!, I've stood at the bottom of one of those, but I ain't climbing up one. How long before someone decides to base jump from one?

They just showed these on Lost Planet 2007. I didn't know there were so many, 400 something I think they said. Showed 1 family who hasn't paid an electric bill in 6 years.

were you wearing a safety line or anything? do they have some kind of mechanical locking system or whatever to keep it from spinning. thats scary S$&@. you couldnt pay me 5000 to go up there. haha.:dispntd:

Yeah, that is a GE 1.5. I have never been up in one.
