District 23 softball standings.

With one game left on the schedule there are 4 teams in the hunt for a spot in the play-offs. Here are the standings.

Giddings 7-2
Bellville 6-3
Navasota 6-3
La Grange 6-3

Giddings plays Smithville and sould win for the district top spot.
Bellville plays at Caldwell and with a win would get a play-off spot.
Navasota and La Grange play and the loser most likely would not get a spot. If Bellville would lose they would play the loser of Navasota vs La grange for the last spot. Bellvile split with Navasota, but has beat La Grange both times, so Bellville would have the tie-breaker with La Grange.
This has been a interesting district race this year it would get even more interesting if giddings would lose their last game, putting 3 teams at 7-3. By Next week this will all be a little clearer.
4 very good teams and only 3 play-off spots!!!!!

Bellville was up 3-1 in the 6th and the Bellville coach pulled the starting pitcher. :thinking: Giddings won 4-3.

Don't get into this discussion. If she leaves starter in and Giddings comes back then it's "they have two great pitchers, why didn't coach change pitchers?"
I wasn't sure about move either, since starter was doing so well, but give Giddings some credit.

Giddings has a great team. They are going to be tough to beat.
