The Snyder Lady Tigers claimed the District 3-3A golf championship Wednesday by 24 shots over Andrews. Two more to go and the Lady Tigers win their THIRD straight state championship, the fourth in the last five years.

glad they are out of our district for ladies golf purposes. they won by more than that here last year didnt they?

Without looking it up, I believe they won by more than 100 shots last years. Andrews has a very good program and a strong team, dropping down from 4A where they went to the state tournament every year.

ANDREWS, SNYDER WIN 3-3A TITLES: The Andrews boys golf team and Snyder girls team each clinched District 3-3A titles on Wednesday at Nueva Vista Golf Club.

The Mustang boys shot a final-round 293 to finish at 583 and three strokes ahead of Lamesa for the boys district title. All five of Andrews players finished in the top-10 in the individual medalist standings.

On the girls side, Snyder matched its first round total of 314 with another 314 to win the title, beating rival Andrews by 24 strokes. Snyder's Ashley Luecke won the individual medalist honors.

All four teams qualified for the Region I-3A tournament, which is also set for Nueva Vista on April 23-26.
