State Track Meet

Is anyone else going to the State Track meet next month in Austin? I can't wait, I'm so excited.:D :D

I'm not sure yet - depends on whether or not I need to work at a bike ride here.

I will if I can get my mile relay down to aroud 3:30. They ran 3:37.10 last week at district. Not bad for 3 sophs. and a junior.

I think I may be coming down friday night, not sure yet. but i know I'll l definalty be there Saturday and staying the night.

We'll be there - hopefully we will be going to the Golf State Tourney on Thurs and Friday then to the State Track meet Saturday - either way - we'll be in Austin the 10th through 12th of May..... reminds me, need to make hotel reservations.........;)

Gonna miss it this year...stangGirl and I will be in Port Lavaca for a wedding that weekend....:( :(

We may have to leave a day early as both the Boys and Girls Golf teams "smoked" the district and won the titles! The girls won by 25 strokes and the boys somewhere around 13. I have never watched golf in person (unless playing or driving the "refreshment cart")...it may be worth the trip!:D :D :D

Let's see what Regionals brings!

It is still up in the air for me. Grandbaby is coming a few weeks early, so I just have to see how it goes!

yep, but we've been going to the state track meet for as long as I can remember - getting to watch guys we know is just icing on the cake.... I love Track and Field.. kinda funny after walking the golf course for 18 holes then watching sprinters lol....... I hope we take as many participants this year as we did last year - only time will tell - We had a successful District Meet yesterday - won all 4 divisions.. boys and girls JV and Varsity. I am also aware that the level of competition is far above our district level. :cool:

I enjoy spending close to $30 on water a day. Maybe with all this global warming cold fronts we will get lucky at the state tourney and meet this year.
