by some body from my hometown and they put a bunch of stupid crap... what all steps can i take to prevent it from happening again?

go to your privacy settings and select how private you would like it to be.

they did it without knowing my password it was unguessable so how would they of gotten in?

change your security questions or contact tom. That is illegal. like these girls from thorndale hacked into someone's yahoo profile and changed stuff and they got 3 days of juvenile detention.

There are many hacker sites that can get your password. They use a sophisticated set of web math programs to get your password.
For myspace, use the maximum amount of characters for your password and use letters and numbers. That is paramount! You probably already knew this.:nerd: :(

I guess I have been lucky so far as mine hasnt been hacked but they try awful hard to do so. Never click on a link , period !

This has happened to my daughter twice now. Yesterday someone hacked in and erased everything.

Mine got hacked last year. Someone was posting stupid bulletins under my name. I changed my password and it cleared up.

have u signed on anyone elses computer??

i used to have a program that memorized passwords when people type them in and i could see their password, never did anything with it though
