Its bad enough half don't speak english and you can barely understand a hello....BUT THEY ARE CALLING BACK NOW AFTER YOU HANG UP ON THEM!

The technology in telemarketing has obviously changed because it used to be automated dialing which is why you don't always get a hello right away.

Ask them if this is a personal call or a call related to your place of business. They will tell you its a business matter with the person. Then tell them that by what they said, it constitutes a personal phone call, and you are not allowed to receive personal calls at work. Then tell them to make note of it in their records, and that if someone continues to bother them, you will get the police involved. They should then ask you if you have another way of contacting the person, thats when you tell them, its personal information, you'd have to contact the person outside of this office to receive that type of information. say have a good day, and hang up.

one of the funniest pranks on a telemarketer i have ever heard was posted on a while back i oculdnt find it though. the guy answers and acts like a cop and interrogates the telemarketer for calling a crime scene haha
