Get some Sweet Oil that you can buy from HEB or most grocery stores and heat it up where it is warm but not hot. Then put it in her ear. If that doesn't work call a doctor.

I have seen this done, only the cone is made out of beeswax and they can be purchased at GNC or a healthfood store usually.

It is amazing (and gross) what will come out of your ears. They say, you can hear much better if you don't set your hair on fire while performing the procedure.;)

My mom used that on me once when I was in HS...had an earache so bad I thought my head was splitting open. Worked like a charm.:)

I know of several EENT doctors that use that sort of method also!

I have used the cones from GNC for this also.

heat up some Mineral OIL, and pour it into the infected ear, and put some Cotton balls to keep the air out, this will build the ear wax up and stop the ache!

I had that happen a few months back, but I went to the 3rd floor to visit with ENT(Ears, Eyes, Nose, and Throat) and they found the Head of a Q-Tip inside my Ear, needless to say I don't stick the Q-Tips all the way down my ear now, but maybe you should go visit ENT, and have them look at it.

During football season I was having that awful "swimmers ear" feeling so I went to the doctor. Turns out I had a small tear on my eardrum, probably from Q-tip use. :( It has been really hard to not use q-tips anymore, but I have cut back.

Q-tips are actually not very good for the ear... if you use them you should use them after running water through your ears in the shower for over 10 seconds an ear... that'll losen up a lot of the gunk in there so that you do not have to go all of the way in with your Q-Tip... without doing that you'll end up pushing most of the build-up in your ears to the side... it'll still be there...
