I haven't called him "Lights Out" in a long time... ever since he dropped "f*cking" in a post-game interview after winning the wildcard a couple of years back I've called him Brad "F-Bomb" Lidge...

Brad has probably officially lost his job as closer. Garner can't go on insisting "Lidge is my closer" any longer.

and who replaces him?

The Astros only win has been an Oswalt CG

The whole Bullpen, minus Sampson and Borokowski, have struggled.

Wheeler, who would probably be the one Garner picks, has an ERA of 9.00. Although, it's better than Lidge's 16.20

Wheeler pitched good last year. Yes, he blew it once this year, but he doesn't have Lidge's track record. I say give him a shot.

Something must be done. I say package Lidge & Burke for a proven arm, then promote super prospect Hunter Pence to be our CF for the next 10 years. He turns 24 this month.

Burke is a gamer & like him, but he is miscast in CF for all his efforts. Loretta can be resigned to play 2B next year or promote Brooks Conrad (highly regarded too) when Biggio retires. Time to move on. Wheeler is a fine set-up man, he has pitched ok with some bad luck so far.

I like this idea. As much as I like Burke, I like Pence better

Pence is awesome. He was with the CC Hooks last year and moved up the Round Rock this year. One hell of a hitter.
