My phone is blowing up with people calling me asking me if i heard the news and they cant believe Billy would do that to aggieland and how much support he has gotten here. Wonder how the basketball players are doing.

Billy saw how much support the Ags were giving the football team in recent years and got out while he could! ;)

Isn't the Kentucky deal $2.3 mil? Wasn't his new deal with A&M supposed to be $2 mil?

I believe his new deal was supposed to be 1.7 mil. He actually never signed it either, just agreed to it.

That's some dumb aggie fans right there if they can't figure out why he's leaving. The guy gets to go coach the most storied program in college basketball vs. staying at a school making its first trip to the sweet 16 since 1980. Furthermore how could folks not see it coming? His career history, going back to coaching high school ball here in Texas says that he doesn't stay in one place for long.

What's the surprise? Aggie is a 2cd tier basketball program and can't compete with powerhouse programs like Kentucky. Best career move ever by Billy G.

Dear, it's call green, the almighty dollar. Anyway, football will always to king at A&M while basketball is king at Kentucky.

Aggies are rediculous with how serious they take things like this.

True, BCG has never been any place more than 3 years (including hs jobs). Coaching nomad who gets his shot at a place now like Kentucky.

Right, like you would have been happy if Mack left or Barnes bolted. It is part of being a fan (which is short for fanatic).
