I might be way off base here but is Jeremy Hills related to Tony? Tony is from Aleif right? Thought there might be a family connection there.

I guess Mack honoring Tonys scholarship after his high school playoff injury that many thought had ended his career stood out. Very noble of Mack at the time i thought.

99% of the coaches in the country would have done the same thing.

Would they KL3? Would 99% of coaches honor a players scholarship that has a heart condition and never play again?

For the last time, honoring a kid's scholarship who is medically unable to play does NOT count against the 85 football scholarships / 25 per year NCAA rule. It is classified differently - as a medical exemption, not under the 85/25 rule. Matt Nader falls into this category this year. He must maintain his grades & he will be an unofficial coach for the Horns. He does NOT count against the athletic scholarship limitations, period. I know the rules b/c I have worked in D1 athletics. Kids who enroll early count against the previous class #s too.

Yes, it is admirable of Mack to do so, but it also keeps up the good will among players, coaches, & fans. He is smart enough to never burn bridges with bad PR. But he is not volunteering at the hospital or soup kitchen here. It happens every year at many schools across the country. So please, stop the patting him on the back talk for nothing out of the ordinary.

That 40 time for Dodge seems slow. I have seen him listed in the high 4.3s & low 4.4s often, & he sure looks fast in person. Probably a typo, & he should be listed as an ATH too (probably a DB or WR in college). Impressive class.

What surprised me was the 4.6 time for Newton. If he plans to play RB in college...and that time is legit...then he's in for an opening of the eyes really quick.

Newton is not a burner. I also agree with his time being legit. But Emmitt Smith was a 4.6 guy too, more quick than fast, & knew angles & body lean. His acceleration was uncanny. Have to just see what happens...

Dodge is definately a 4.4 guy and Newton is a 4.5 power back type.
