Another week of Sanjaya, and this is great, because Sanjaya is now tied with Scott Savol and Kellie Pickler for longest running VFTW American Idol pick. If we can get him through next week, he'll be the all time record holder. And next week is Latin week. Sanjaya, please sing Shake Your Bon Bon. Please. We'll bake some cookies. Also, Michael Buble outed himself as a Worster when he said he was voting for Antonella. We'll need to get him the updated memo on Sanjaya, but thanks for the help, Michael! And is it not obvious that the producers are just sticking Haley in the bottom every week so people get mad at her and forget about Sanjaya? Lame tactic, producers. Lame.

I agree..but I also think that Blake is a darkhorse because those three will start splitting votes because they are the same style singers..that IMO is why Jennifer Hudson was voted off when she was, her and Fantasia were splitting votes and as soon as one of them had an "off night" they were gone.

Chris IMO is so bad, but has the "pop look and sound" and with Taylor Hicks winning last year I think Simon and the judges want a true "pop star" to win.

not because I do not like singers and singing, but this show is more about whoring yourself around than it is singing... and with the way America votes, the REAL talent can get sent home very quickly while the lame get to live another day...

For the most part this year....America has it right....the top three singers are still in....while VFTW has Sanjaya still in it....I feel that he then Phil or Haley (if that is how you spell her name) should be the next two to go....then the real competition will start....IMHO.

More often than not, they get it right in the end.

Season 1: Kelly Clarkson - deserved to win.

Season 2: Reuben Studdard - Clay Aiken was more talented and it showed in the end.

Season 3: Fantasia Boreno - Not my fave that year, but did better in the end.

Season 4: Carrie Underwood - It was a toss up between her and Bo Bice for me.

Season 5: Taylor Hicks - Chris Daughtry will be the ultimate winner in the end.

Clay Aiken how a very powerful voice... but his style of music just isn't as big now as it was just before him... same with Studdard (from the same season).... damn good voice, but we've all heard it before, and that style of R&B was dying... they really do not have a genre to fit into...

Carrie Underwood wanted to do country, she got into country, and mainstream brainwashed country fans will bite on anything that has a sound to it... now she has a damn good voice as well... DAMMMN good... but had she gone after a pop record, she wouldn't be as big of a hit now...

what also helped her was having country album with a christian-style song as the first single... the song not only sold well to American Idol fans, but of course to country fans and THEN to Christians who wouldn't listen to country otherwise (down here Pop stations played it, Country stations played it and two Christian stations that I know of out of Houston always played it)... she couldn't go wrong...
