How's the weather in your area?

In The Colony we haven't had much of anything. A little rain yesterday and just some clouds and wind so far today.

Looking at radars and watching the news it looks like things are pretty bad in some spots.

oh dear lord, today there was supposidly a HUGE tornado like 7 miles away from merkel so that put the whole school in a state of panic and we were put on lockdown and everybody was like panicing. i, however, proceeded to inform every one that i was a certified storm watcher and everything was under control (sarcasm). they put the whole high school and teachers into interior rooms. nothing even happened. it rained and thats it. it was a total waste of my time.

I'm hoping that pretty pink color in Wise County goes north of me!

Been out storm "chasing" twice already today----nothing to cause that much concern in Wise County except the flash flooding so far.

For you weather "geeks" here is a URL to a website that has a weather radar product that you can download which will tell more than you want to know about storm cells, rainfall, winds, hail, etc. threatening your area:

http://www.grlevelx.com

Download and install GRlevel3. It is a 30-day eval, and you can buy the program for $79.95 after the trial. After installing you must pick the "site" tab at the top and pick the nearest radar location to your home from the list. Once this is done---a whole world of weather information will be available to you---especially projected storm cell "tracks".

GRLevel3 is well worth the money too, you can even download street level maps for this program. I've been using this program for about a year now.

Oh and I finally have 100 posts, lol
