Am I the only one that thinks ringtones....

are the stupidest thingw ever? What is some peoples fascination with going through the songs on their phone, and playing 10 seconds of it on a horrible quality speaker then going onto the next one?

What I hate is the crap of me calling someone and getting some stupid song instead of a ring. And then I have to listen to entire stupid song just to get to an equally stupid voice mail message. :mad: :mad:

One of my friends has the NFL theme as a ringback tone, I don't mind that. Real songs are annoying though.

I dont play ringtones on my phone, but i do have mp3s that I listen to with my headphones. Something to do while walking long distances (to class).

I don't care if people do it with headphones, it's when they blare crappy quality music for everyone to hear because it's cool so have some song no one likes.

my ringtone is "Fulsom Prison"... the only one I've downloaded on this phone... I have the sliver with iTunes and the quality when played through the phone and not the headphones is actually pretty damn good... one night some friends and I were on the deck just talkin' etc... and my phone played all night without speakers etc...

I use different ringtones to identify different callers. When my wife calls, it's the chorus from Urgent by Foreigner. I hate having to listen to someone else's song when I call them, though. Just send it straight to voicemail!

most everyone in my phone book has their own ringtone. at least those i text or call often. i have a ringback too and most people don't like the song but idc. don't call me :)

My wife's is "You Shook me all Night Long" and recently when we were in a Parent/Teacher conference, her phone rang. I was mortified. Fortunately, it was in her purse and was pretty muffled. I don't think the teacher was able to make it out (I hope not). What makes it even funnier (now) is that it was in a Catholic school. :eek:

THAT is funny! My husband's ringtone is that annoying Six-Flags song. You know, the one the goofy looking character dances to. It is so irritating.
