The reason that Coach Jeff Walker (current LH OC) declined the Sinton HC position is that Coach Vance will retire after the 07 season and Coach Walker will step in as the new Liberty Hill head coach.

I figured that was why he turned down the job. Im sure that was at least part of the reason if not the reason!

I only know as "fact" what he told the boys and that wasn't mentioned. ;) I actually heard a similar rumor a couple of days ago, but not from anyone around here.
