The rumor is that it will be Duke's Gail Goestenkors who has had great success at Duke. Hopefully if it is true it will be announced today or tomorrow. Coach G - Come on Down!

i find it hard to believe that it wont be Mulkey....unless she turned it down!

They have her permission and are interviewing her, so I'm sure something will break one way or the other shortly!

I have a hard time believing she'd leave a perennial Top 5 program like Duke to take on a rebuilding job, but stranger things have happened.:thinking:

Texas is not really rebuilding. The last two years has been racked with injuries. The talent is still there and the talent in the HS leve in Texas is still very deep.

no one has offered Mulkey according the A.D. at Baylor...we pay her over 800,000 a year, no one is willing to top that for now...plus y would Mulkey want to go to UT?

Coach Gail is still deciding. Rumors have been going both ways - some that she is coming and some that she is not so we will wait until the official word. Word is that the Duke fans are very nervous though.

Some great talent on hand yes, but anytime you change coaches there will be a transition. It was time for Conradt to go for sure, much like Gus in baseball years ago. It is a premier job, they will get a good one & be back.
