Just turn it on ESPN and watch Duke-Rutgers.....its 6-3 almost halfway through the first half....

its awkward, its slow, there are 4,000 people in a 20,000 seat arena...its womens basketball!

Other than tennis I have to agree...the only exciting thing about womens sports for me is finding the hots

Someone asked the question a couple of weeks ago could the best boys HS teams beat the best womens college basketball teams...well Duncanville would beat Duke by 30....

to me its interesting if your team is in it, i pretty much never watch unless if Baylor is playing.....the attendence issues at women's tournament games are the NCAA's fault....for example, if they let Waco host the game (we cant anymore cause apparantly we dont have enough 4 star hotels) but if they hosted the game that the Lady Bears played against NC State it would be a sell out....instead they had the game at NC State because they had the hotels and a bigger arena, even though they only had about 5000 peole there and it seemed like atleast 1/4 of them were Bear fans....if its in Waco then there is 10,500 easy there (thats how much Ferrell Center in Waco holds) and people being turned away at the gate cause there are not enough tickets....it would be the same situation in Tennessee, Connecticut, Texas Tech (if they can get their program back up to winning again), and several other places across the nation, but the NCAA is too dumb to use this to their advantage apparantly...to me this adds to the unwatchability (i doubt thats a word but whatever) of women's bball when you dont have a team in the game, there is little to no atmosphere until the final 4 most of the time....

I got a feeling Phil C is going to have something to say about this post. I agree though.

You are right though Womens Basketball is tough to watch. I know some people like it, but for me as long as there is some paint drying somewhere i can watch that over womens hoops. How about lowering the goal to nine feet in womens hoops. Make it to where more than one girl can dunk, that might put a few more people in the seats.

Maybe they were GA's??? I saw a couple of hots on the bench...I know I did..LOL

and no Duncanville would beat any women's college team by 30...I'd imagine they'd handle any WNBA team with ease also...

no they wouldnt. They wouldnt be fast enough or athletic enough to stop Duncanville from scoring. Or even the 4A champs for that matter.

I just got home from the Sweet 16 games in Dallas. There were definitely some hots there! :)

But there were also plenty of, "Excuse me sir. Oh, I'm sorry ma'm. With that haircut and dressed like that, I thought..." :(

I'd be completely shocked if either of those could play within 50 of Duncanville or SOC. Good grief all you'd have to do is hand the ball to Morgan (6'10" C from SOC) right next to the basket over and over.

I'll watch a woman's game ever so often, but pretty much just for the same reason that most guys will tune in for. I sure don't mind though when ESPN lets Swin Cash do their nightly NBA show on occasion. She's worth tuning in for in my opinion. :)

I like to watch women's basketball, but for different reasons than I watch men's games. IMO, collegiate women's basketball is currently the purest form of the game. It is closer to the original ideal, at least. The men's game is sometimes hardly recognizable anymore...too much contact, too much slop! Half the guys in the NBA couldn't play if they had to play by the actual rule book. I still enjoy watching, though.

I also like women's volleyball. There are some pretty good female athletes playing that game!

Swin Cash isn't half bad when she dressed up!
