This is an interface by line 6 that will allow me to hook my guitar up to my computer... a friend from work is going to get me a copy of a program called cakewalk that allows me to record me playing/singing whatever on my computer...

also gunna get a mic, maybe a good set of headphones...

U can record with an encoder as well..it is free from microsoft

yah... I think I can actually record with this interface... but cakewalk is really good for computer/digital recording, so if it's free why not... the friend says a friend of his in Houston has a couple of copies that didn't sell at his electronics store...
