Former cornerback arrested on pot charge

A day after trying out for NFL scouts, former Texas cornerback Tarell Brown was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge Thursday after a routine traffic stop in Williamson County.

Jamie Balagia, Brown’s attorney, said his client was riding in a car driven by Brown’s cousin. Balagia said police ran the cousin’s license and found an outstanding arrest warrant. The car was impounded and searched. Police discovered marijuana “residue,” Balagia said, and charged the cousin and Brown.

“We’re going to get him out (Thursday morning) and go straight to take a drug test,” Balagia said.

The arrest report was not available late Thursday.

I don't care if they're from A&M, USC or what, I'll defend 'em until proven guilty... sometimes you even know, but you're ridin' with the person so you say .. what's gunna happen to me? it hasn't happened so far... or it's happened once, what's the chance of it happenin' again?

people make mistakes...

killing a person in cold-blood... not a mistake, that's your ass...

being in the car during a planned bank robbery... fill in the blank...

ridin' with a guy who has pot in his car (Which I'm sure 50% of American OR MORE uses anyway, plus the fact that it is not considered out of the ordinary unless you're slingin' 200 pounds a day average), a mistake...

Punishment? Yah, there's punishment that goes along with it, and we should obey the law... but I had a feeling right of that there was gunna be some hypocracy like being slang in this thread, so I went ahead and said raise your hand...

I was over at my friend's earlier, they were lighting it on up... me? I wasn't, I was just there because they're some badass folks I like hangin' out with and playin' guitar with...

marijuana residue?? What the heck is that? This isnt Tarrels first brush in a car with something illegal. Maybe it is time to get new friends???

Raise my hand, too. And I've NEVER done any illegal drugs. But my family member, whom I love dearly, is a pot user. You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives.

So, if I'm at their house or in a vehicle with them, then I guess I would be in trouble if they got busted. :doh:

riding with people you know you know what kind of people they are what they do...
I was busted for mip when I was 16, loooonggg time ago, I got in the car with friends and I knew it had beer in it... my fault, I earned the ticket and boy did I pay for it...
I never got in a car with people I did not know for the same reason... quite giving the guy an out... he knew what he was getting into
