Great game by the Tarpons tonight! I can't think of a better 46th birthday present to give Coach Stumbaugh.
In typical Rio Hondo fashion, one of their asst. coaches came over to yell at our kids during warm-ups "YOU AIN'T WORTH A (rhymes with duck)". He then preceded to taunt one of our coaches by telling him "YOU AIN'T GOT THE (rhymes with walls) TO DO ANYTHING". This is the second year in a row this particular coach has done something like that.
I gotta hand it to Stumbaugh, he pulled the starters out with 7:00 to go in the 3rd quarter, leading 45-0. Considering the classness with which Rio Hondo handles themselves, I would have left them in for much longer.
Jimmie Heath, the much-hyped RH running back who had 4 consecutive 200 yard games coming in to tonight------- 41 yards on 11 carries. Welcome to varsity football!
