It's a bone disease that results in weakened bones. It's usually caused by a lack of vitamin D. I think it primarily happens in children.

you are correct, its basically osteoporosis(SP?) in children

People who have it are extremely bow legged...they look like their leg bones have been bent around a ball.....correct?

Limes helps pervent it. When they had their great Navy England had sailers that contacted the desease but they found out that eating limes helped prevent it so sailers were given limes. That is why some started calling them Limees. Interesting history indeed.
