My mom is in ICU for pnuemonia(sp?). She's been intubated and has a machine breathing for her. All prayers appreciated.

Prayers from here. 1 and 1/2 weeks ago my youngest daughter had a bout with pnuemonia. I pray that your mother comes thru as well as my daughter has.

RABBITT THEIR IS A STRAIN OF NEWMONIA GOING THAT DOES NOT RESPOND TO SOME ANTIBOTICS SO BE SURE THAT SHE IS WATCHED AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE .MY BROTHERS SON HAS IT AND HAS BEEN IN ICU FOR OVER 40 DAYS AND THREE OPERATIONS AND FINALLY IS STARTING TO IMPROVE .GOOD LUCK AND WE WILL PRAY FOR YOUR MOM.

Thanks for the info West. It seems the anti-biotics they put her on didn't respond well so they had to scope her lungs to test what strain it was.

I am glad you got that post about the mrsa strain. It is methicillin resistant and does some serious damage if not caught and treated. I will definetly keep her in my prayers.
