Stafford has gotton way better from last year...have a stud at catcher...hit a 3 run shot against us in the 6th i think to tie it up...and even last night they we're ahead of sweeny 2-0 till i think the 3rd or 4th until errors got them...even hit 2 out in that game...look for them maybe to be a dark horse in the district...

Stafford may be better, but they are still Stafford. I still say this district is Wharton, Columbus, & Needville, then everybody else fighting it out. Sweeny is a dark horse if Tank Carder's shoulder gets better quickly - but right now he is not right. Riley Hornback has stepped up & the team is coming around, but another top-notch starter will need to emerge. Best of luck to all. Should be a good race to the end.

03-19-2007, 10:07 PM
i say its the 20-30 mph wind that always blows in. when u hit a flyball or popup it seems like the ball hits a wall in the sky and just dies...

are you sure the wind was blowing in that game because the wind was blowing out during the tourney

fireman1
03-19-2007, 11:24 PM
Most of the time the wind is blowing in and balls just die in the outfield but there are those times that the wind blows out and its real easy hitting one out
