Does anybody know anything about NMSU? Any standout players? Any matchup problems? Will they pose a real threat to the Longhorns?

There very athletic made up of quite a few transfers and are well coached by former NBA player Reggie Thues but with that being said Texas should win the game fairly easily

Wasn't Reggie Theus the coach on a TV show a few years back?

Durant needs to try harder to get the ball.

Durant is in one of his early slumps, its just a matter of time before he gets on fire.

Texas is leading 33-30 about to start the second half.

This is probably one of the tougher opening round opponents that UT could've drawn. Theus has his guys playing as intense as he did when he was in the NBA. I'd root for him if they were playing anyone other than Texas because of the style of ball his guys play. It's great to see a few coaches bringing back that up tempo end to end pressure. I watched the Aggies play earlier this year and it was evident to me that they're a very, very well coached team. Won't shock me to see Theus at a big-time program as early as next year.

Wow, that has to be the most one-sided officiating that I've seen in the entire tournament, and I didn't even watch the entire game. I think that New Mexico State would have pulled this one out under fair officiating tonight, because they have outplayed the Longhorns but got dejected towards the end and had to start playing outside of their game.

TAMU. Where do you go to school? I could care less if how Texas plays or if they win or lose because A&M won't be playing them again this year, but there were several calls that were questionable, mostly towards the end of the game that in my opinion could have changed the outcome. Doesn't mean I'm right, just that it is my opinion about the subject.

And I didn't like the way the refs allowed NMSU to bump and push the guards on the perimeter. Lots of non calls the first 15 minutes of the game, then the refs starting calling what I would call "non fouls". It's like they switched refs after the first 15 minutes.
