Since 1993 Yoakum and Edna have meet 10 times with Yoakum holding a 7-3 edge. 5 of those games were decided by 8 points or less, and 7 by 14 points or less. In those 10 years Yoakum has out scored Edna 220 to 134. Edna ranks 128th in enrollment with 491 and Yoakum 131st with 487.
This year Yoakum finished 8-2 record with their opponents having a 53-47 combined record. Edna finished 7-3 with their opponents having a 48-51 combined record. Yoakum has out scored their opponents 215-92. Edna has out scored their opponents 246-177.
Note: the 38 points scored by Edna in a win over Yoakum this year was 24 more points than Yoakum surrendered to any other opponent this year.
I look for it to be a close one and if the Edna Defense can return to playing like earlier in the year I give the Cowboy the slight edge here.
