Anyone know of any new artists to listen to... I'm stuck with the old faves right now... I just can't seem to find my Big Moe Collection...

music in general blows today but Hip Hop is suffering badly. Chris Brown being labeled as "the face of hip hop" at the recent awards show? The kid did backflips and had pyros. Any male cheerleader can do that. Stick w/ Public ENemy, Dre and NWA and some Pac. Avoid Biggie & crew. Overrated to no end.

Yes, old school was great.

Now it sucks, period.

Rage Against the Machine (WHO ARE BACK TOGETHER!! WHOOOO HOOO!!) covering NWA's "**** tha Police" is awesome. Zac stumbles over the words being that it's a live recording but damn it rocks.

I guess I liked it better when they rapped about glocks and survival as opposed to grills and strippers.

Pimp C (MJG)
Bum B (MJG)
Paul Wall
Chamillionaire
Mike Jones
Fat Pat
Big Tuck
Lil Flip
Mr.Pookie

that enough?

My favorite song by Z-Ro is the "Hater Song"

Mines "I hate you B!tch"

And on a different note T.I. is from Atlanta, and Lil Wayne is from New Orleans, not exactly Texas rappers.

Cant go wrong with anything by UGK....Big Tuck is good also...I am feeling some of Lil Keke's stuff with Swishahouse right now also..

Big Tuck...A former Lincoln Tiger! What I found amazing about this guy is he's about 6'3" or so and weighs around 270 yet he never, ever played any football. I believe he was in the band and played soccer in high school! He does seem to be pretty popular though. I was at several Ranchview games this year and everytime they had a timeout they were playing one of his songs. I'm still kinda partial to that song he did called "Southside the Realest"...The video was low quality, but at least he showed some real parts of South Dallas in it.

One of my friends who went to Madison knows the guy and it really hacks him off that 90 percent of the stuff the Big Tuck raps about never actually happened. I'm sure it's probably that way with a lot of rappers though. He doesn't seem to be a real popular guy in the neighborhood around Madison because of some of the people he's called out in his songs.

I'm thinking about laying down some flows and recording them, just me and my guitar, maybe a drums and bass, just for chits and giggles...
