It was a good Christmas season: 3 great red fishing trips, 1 trout limit, 3 bucks, 4 hogs, 3 yoties.

Depends on what county you shot him in, Here in Wharton county it tastes like $15.00

The hog I shoot last weekend got me $100 from the landowner.

I just saw a coyote in the wild for the 1st time the other day! I thought it was amazing to watch! Of course it was driving through the backwoods to work, but in all my life I have never seen one in the wild.

And not long before that I saw a couple of foxes (for the 1st time) in the wild, and of course that was amazing as well.

I don't hunt, that is not my thing. I don't fit the country girl from Texas image other than the way I talk.

But since we have moved to Rusk we get to see a lot more of this beautiful countryside.

I saw a coyote one day, chasing an elephant... thought it was the strangest thing...

Bottom line is that ranchers hate them. They live in packs and can kill calfs, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and other things that people don't want killed. They are so hated in many places that they offer a bounty. The ones I know of range from 10 to 100 dollars for killing one.
