The Bulldogs stepped it up big time..in a very heated contest....especially 2 football players who made their prescence known late..

In the bottom of the first Glen Rose got on the board, after Davidson struck the leadoff man out, the ball slipped past the catcher and put the kid on 1st....after a stolen base Davidson settled down and struck the #2 hitter out..the number 3 man also struck out....with Davidson ahead 0-2 he made a mistake as he hung on and the hitter from GR ripped a single into left...making it 1-0 Glen Rose..Davidson retired the next batter and it was 1-0 after 1...

In the 2nd Everman returned fire...Ryan Amador walked, then Robert Moore reached on an error...on a pickoff attempt to first the throw was wild and moved runners up to 2nd and 3rd..Jeremy Cooks brought Amador home on a ground out...then Robert Moore scored on a wild pitch making it 2-1 Everman as the Bulldogs scored 2 runs with out a hit..

The game then turned into a pitching duel as neither team was able to muster much...heading into the 6th both teams had only 2 hits....in the bottom of the 6th Davidson continued to cruise as he retired the first 2 hitters with no problem..then with 2 outs he walked a man...then the next batter got down 1-2 and he fouled off 3 pitches...finally he got something he could handle and drove a double into right making it 2-2...

The 7th went by with no threat by either team...in the top of the 8th Glen Rose changed pitchers and the game suddenly changed...Leo Davila (starting WLB and catcher) got a 1-0 hanging curve and sent it over the right field fence making it 3-2....Ryan Amador singled and Robert Moore hit into a fielder's choice...then Jeremy Cooks (wingback/Defensive Back/Left Fielder) got a 1-1 hanging curve and sent it over the center field fence making it 5-2 Everman...Glen Rose changed pitchers again and got out of the inning but the damage had been done..in the bottom of the 8th Glen Rose fought back against a tiring Davidson..but after giving up a run Davidson buckled down and retired the Tigers...Everman finishes the regular season at 10-4 in 8-3A one game behind Kennedale and Castleberry....
