I was doing some research. Edorian McCullough ran in the State Track Meet in 2002 and would of had the National Record with his 10.08 FAT but it didnt count as a record because of the high wind speed. I noticed that his birthday is 1/6/82 and he ran the State Meet that year on 5/11-12/2002. He was 20 years and 4 months old. Unbelievable!

Isn't there an age limit restriction in the high school state meet or especially in high school track. 20 years old is kind of old to be running in a state track meet. It is even kind of old to be in high school.

Someone told me he failed twice before 7th grade and was 504 (special ed) and there are no age restrictions for 504 students I believe!

It looks like he went to Texas...then to San Fran CC...then signed on at Oregon State in 2005. I also found him listed on the Jaguars roster on nfl.com but he is no longer with the team.

I concur....if you are 20 years old and still in HS I believe the privelege of being in athletics should be revoked!

Well the UIL has certain exceptions to the rules. In the mid-90's Thorndale had a running back named Twone Simmons that was 20 years old during his senior year. I don't remember all the specifics, but he had been moved around a lot as a kid and got behind because of that so he was granted another year to play. They had just won state the year before in Class A and moved to 2A for his senior year and got beatdown most of the season.

I always wondered what happened to him and where he went after UT. He seemed to have a bright future at UT, he looked pretty good as a freshmen....

I think LaMarque had a stud RB named Derrick Foster when Weddell was there in the mid-90's. He was 20 at the time. Can you imagine being the parent of a 14 year old freshman and having him play with a 20 year old?

They'll make exceptions if they want you bad enough....
