Before I was diabetic they (the apply pies) went great during the Christmas holidays with Egg Nog Ice Cream. Just warm up the pies and put the ice cream on them for a yummy treat.

Years ago when I inspected at a hot mix plant in southeast Austin, we would slip over to the bakery and buy fried pies hot out of the oven and straight off the packaging belt............Damn they were good!!!!

The chocolate ones are good to, but equally hard to find.

Definitely the apple, next would be Peach and you have to have an ice cold pint of Borden's chocolate milk with it or white milk either one. Then your talking about some fine snacking !

Pecan is my favorite. Pretty easy to find around here. The chocolate is fantastic as well, but for some reason it just isn't easily found. I actually prefer the August's Pies over the Mrs Baird's. I can remember when I was a kid, my grandad would take me to the August Pie factory that used to be in Wichita Falls and we would get fresh, still hot pies. AWESOME!!!

We prefer Bruce's fried pies over Mrs. Bairds but can't find them here anymore. I've even searched the internet for them and had no luck. The chocolate and the apple are the best.
