Gillispie wins his second Big 12 coaching honor in the last three years. He guided the Aggies to their best finish in league history with a 13-3 mark and needs just one win to match the school record for overall victories in a season. The Aggies have been ranked in the top 10 nationally for much of the year, including each of the last eight weeks.

three straight huh?

Very deserving. He's done a great job with the Aggie basketball team. Congratulations.

I'm a big fan of BCG. However, I'm not sure he did a "better" job of coaching this year than Barnes. I'm not a huge Barnes backer, but I think he did a heck of a job with 4 fish and 1 soph in the starting lineup. He probably would have gotten it if they had beaten Kansas, at least co-coach of the year.

Huggins did an excellent job at K-State as well.

Im not so certain it was so much Barnes' coaching as it was the Durant factor that brought them this far. JMHO

Durant is great, but he still started 3 other fish and a soph. that's really remarkable.

Yeah, im just saying. Barnes has even been quoted to say that without Durant they would be an 8-8 team at best.
