Whose? I'm kinda fond of some carried by the local grocery. It comes in a plastic bag---don't know the name brand, but it's pretty good.

Uncle Julio's in Ft. Worth has pretty good guacamole---along with everything else they serve.

I don't doubt that, Rita. How do you feel about cooking for about 50 or so at the next M&G? :D

true that... It's kinda hard to tell if Don Bravo's Guaca is good because all of the grease from everything else runs into it...

I nominate the only 2 mexican restaurants in Alto & Rusk to have the worst Mexican food ever. Including Guacamole. They don't even put spices on the fajitas... "say what?!?!"

Terry can attest, I am THE MOST PICKY MEXICAN FOOD EATER!

Call me a hotsauce connoisseur. ;)

The best Chile Relleno: Gonzalos in Longview, Texas. Run by the same Mexican family for over 30 years. And they don't have some big fancy get-up. Just a very small restaurant ....a passer-by would probably never notice this restaurant.

I guess I should say...ANYTHING from Gonzalos is my fave. :D

Why not Austin area...or the Hill Country??? That's a "middle of the road" drive between STX and the DFW folks ;)

We should start a club!!! :D:D:D

I'm also becoming INCREDIBLY picky over the chips that I have with my hot sauce. My "staple place" has been Chili's for a long time but I've started to notice a dropoff in chip quality in the DFW area this year. :(

yup, chips and salsa weigh heavily in my decisions on which Mexican/Tex-Mex places I'll frequent...

Bull - I don't know about cooking ALL the food, but I wouldn't mind making a couple of pans of enchilidas and guac. ;) I'll even throw in a pot of beans and some rice.

Okay, now I'm hungry. :(

My mother-in-law makes some great Guac. I know she adds tomatoes, onions, peppers, and some salt to it, but I can't remember what else.

I wasn't big on Guac until I started dating Amanda, but that stuff's the best I've ever had.

Best I Ever Had - Gary Allen: big daddy russ's love song to his mother-in-law's guacamole...
