while we were on the subject, here is the national sex offender registry. they have it so you can type in your address and see the closest ones that live around you and even search for people by name.

There was a girl who had to register and mail out little cards in my old neighborhood in Bryan.

First time I've ever got one of those cards, but I found out later that she wasn't much of a threat. She was 18, dating a 15 year old. Had sex with him. Got caught.

OK, so maybe she had low standards, but other than that I could've cared less. She was charged with "sexual assault with a minor," even though she never assaulted him. She had even started dating that guy again when he turned 17 (she was 20 at the time).
