I do not claim to know all about the religious or customary practices of other cultures, but outright "mutilation" of any human being transcends the boundaries of reason of any civilized society, in my view. I feel very sorry for the cultures of the world who inflict such "butchery" on their women, and especially the young girls who must endure such unspeakable pain and suffering. This is the 21st Century---not the 11th.

Truly barbaric. Just boils down to the continued viewing of women as objects. Very sad.

From what I've read...there are different forms of this...some of them aren't much different than what they do to the male...it's only the most outlandish that go as far as "mutilation".
