Game was over in the first quarter. Bellville scored on first two plays, an 85 yd. run and a 40+ yr pass. It was 42-7 at half. Second and third team played entire 2nd half. Stats will be intersting. Runnels must have had 200 yds. in first half. Impressive showing Bulls!

Looks like Bellville, is getting better each week, 1st teamers looked very good tonight, even the 2nd bunch are improving. My pick was 45-10, With the 1st string, I will say with Goeke's field goal, that made it 45, just 3 points shy, on Elgin side, with the 1st team. Bellville 1st team only played the 1st half! I wish I knew how many yards Bellville had? Bellville 54 Elgin 21.

Yea FBB, it was an awesome display. Bellville scored at will, and like you said the 2nd teamers are starting to come around. Runnels looks dominating. What's your guess for total yards in the first half?

Hey Bongo, its hard to say, maybe 300 yards or more, just in the 1st half, cant wait to see the stats! If Geoke keeps catching and kicking the ball the way he is doing now, he will be a all stater! Go Bellville Beat the Rice Raider's!!

Runnels had 11 carries for 177 yards, TD runs of 63 and 14. Bryant had 7 carries for 104 yards, TD runs of 85 (on the first play of the game), 2 and 5. Buenger was 6 of 11 for 90 yards including a 27 yard touchdown strike to Goeke. This was all in the FIRST half. The best kicker in 3A, Goeke, had field goals of 46 and 41, and missed wide left on a 54 yarder that had the distance.

And to think Bellville would be a better passing team, look's to me the Brahmas can do it all pass, run and kick. You cant key on one person for Bellville, because they have to many good players! Bellville didnt show anything new yet, because no need to, but im sure its there if needed, might see some new stuff against Rice, if needed? Bellville is getting closer to that 100% I have been talking about, I think they are at about 75 to 80%, yes I think there is room for about 25% improvement, but it sure looks good now! If these boys get at 100% watch out!!!

Can you say explosion? The Brahmas went ahead and cleared up some things tonight. We were wondering if they'd ever get out of the 30's....they scored 54, and probably could have been more. We were worried about the slow starts of the Bulls.... they scored on their first 2 offensive plays from scrimmage. We wondered how good the O-line and running game would be.... I think I heard 383 yds. rushing, and Buenger had about 6 or 7 seconds to throw the ball pretty much every time. I was as critical as anyone on the defense, I wondered whether they could control the run, especially up the middle.... they pretty much shut it down, and had several stops on 3rd and short and one 4th and inches. And I don't think the QB ever threw a ball where he didn't get hit.

Now granted this wasn't the Rice Raiders' stiff defense, and it wasn't the Rice Raiders' power running game that's run over just about everyone, but you couldn't have asked for a better performance in your final "tune-up" game prior to that game. Regardless of what happens, the Bulls are exactly where they wanted to be, undefeated and clicking on all cylinders.

Tremendous all-around game, and hat's off to Goeke for his effort on long field goals, as well as kickoffs. It was nice to see Bryant break out of a mini-slump, and great to see Runnels continue to run like he's capable. O-line did a tremendous job on both run blocking and pass. Not dropping any passes, everything is just clicking. Same on defense, we were in the backfield on every single play, pass or run.

Keep it rollin' Bulls, get ready to defend your turf next week.

FormerBellvilleBrahma is right, Buenger could very easily pass for 250-300 yards a game, but our coach likes to run the ball.

Congrats to our Brahmas! Sounds like they are ironing any kinks out and stepping it up. Especially proud of the defense--way to go Red Storm!
