try to be honest and as non-partisan as possible, as far as how much taxes you pay and how much you make (if you are one of the few that has a job) are you better off now than you were 7 years ago?

7 years ago I was just about to graduate the 8th grade!!

I dont think people like to admit they are worse off and will make excuses in their head to why they are "better off" to make themselves feel better

I'm making more money...but also paying more in taxes. Then again...7 years ago I was making $6/hr working 15-20 hrs/wk! ;) Now if I can just get the girl to finish law school...get a job...and work 70+ hrs/wk...I can be retired in 7 years! :evillol::evillol::evillol:

Honestly....I am making more money. BUT......until the college kid graduates, I can't say that I'm better off. Hopefully, he will be finished before it's time for the next one. :(

Considering that seven years ago I was in high school without a job or an allowance, I'm better off now!!!

I'm worse off, but by my own choosing. I went back to college 3.5 years ago and have been scraping by any way possible ever since.

Seven years a ago I was a part-time carryout at HEB making $5.65/hr. Now I have a wife, three kids, and a house and I'm just peachy. :)
