2A Girls: POTH is going to STATE!!!

Poth beat district rival Navarro 66-33 to win the 2A Region IV Girls Basketball Championship. Standout Whitney Wehmeyer, who has signed a letter of intent to play for Oral Roberts University, had 34 points.

This was the third meeting of these two teams this year, with Poth winning all three games.

The Poth girls won VB and BB State Championships in 96' I believe. It's hard to do in a small school because all of the same althelets play both sports.

I don't have much hope for softball this year because the big pirate with the little sword is coaching along with Whitney's dad who happens to be the superintendent. :D
