Didn't expect Dist. 24-3A to outshine D-23-3A the way they have. But then again there are a number of schools that have bigger enrollments in 24-3A. It'll be interesting how softball and baseball do. West Columbia won state in softball last year Wharton, Sweeny, Columbia and Columbus have been well above average in baseball. Believe that 24-3A track will also be stronger. It will be interesting how this all pans out.

stafford played a very good game...made many shots...shot well over 50 %....because they didn;t take many shots...either shot it and made it or got it stolen or threw it out of bounds....sad thing was that giddings would try to push the ball back down the court way to fast, try and force it and throw the ball away...congrats to stafford on the win...

Refs were horrible in the game...missed many calls for both sides...its blows my mind how you can miss a kid kicking the ball out of mid air but who knows...

BTW...look out for sophomore Zach Berry...kid has decent height, great athletic ability, and great post moves

24 - 3 a is now eliminated....

but the three teams competed very well.

matching up with coldsprings, H_J, and silsbee....

that's some serious basketball being played.

and i noticed from the scores in the paper that 24-3a schools all played close games.

anyone have more details??
