for any avid readers out there I have a GREAT book that be a little different.
It is called World War Z

Now this is a book that is about the world being overrun by zombies..BUT..the real stories are how politcs, government and society acts and reacts in terrible times.
It is a rare book that is political, but without trying to pick a side. IMO one of the best subtexts books I have read in a LONG LONG time
The author is Max Brooks who is the son of Mel Brooks.
He does a great job in mixing horror, comedy, and common sense into a book that tales a dark story that shows how society would TRULY react to a world ending event
