WOW what a finish. You let that guy shoot hte long ball then run out the clock never foul him.

what would even be worse is if the team the 3 point shooter is on didnt have any timeouts...worse case you let him take that shot....and if he makes it and they call a TO then all you have to do is get the ball inbounds and the game is over!

a couple of years ago: When the Texas Tech men had Texas down by 3 points with about 3 seconds left, Tech let them inbound the ball and shoot the 3 without fouling, and sure 'nuff Texas made the 3 to tie it up for OT. Texas had one of the best 3-point shooters in college basketball at the time, and it was nuthin' but net. We ain't talkin high school girls here; this guy could lanch 3's from DownTown.

Why didn't the self-proclaimed "I'm always right about basketball" Bobby Knight instruct his players to mercilessly hack the first man who touched the ball. Worst case, Texas makes the 1st free throw, then intentionally misses the 2nd for a 2-point putback. If your big guys who have an inside position on the other team's big guys can't get THAT rebound, you deserve to lose anyway.
