BOYD, DECATUR ADVANCE — The Boyd Lady Yellowjackets last night got 13 points from junior Emily Bingham and the defense allowed just eight shots from the floor to beat Godley 45-29 in Saginaw. Boyd, the No. 3 team in the state, is headed back to the Class 2A, Region I tournament Friday where it will face No. 1 Winnsboro at 6 p.m. at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. The Decatur Eagles got 17 points each from Jeremy Jackson and Clif Cooper and held on for a 55-51 victory last night over Clyde. Decatur will face District 6-3A champion Burkburnett Friday at 7 p.m. in Windthorst. TONIGHT, the Slidell Greyhounds face Henrietta-Midway in the Class 1A playoff game at 7 p.m. in Bridgeport.
