Don't confuse El Paso Socorro with Socorro, NM which is where the the final gunfight took place in the movie Dawn at Socorro.

I understand the Falfurrias Jerseys are loaded this year. Could be a repeat trip to state for the Bulls:thinking:

so is their mascot the jerseys (which never made sense to me) or the Bulls?

The official name is Jerseys. After the Jersey dairy cow. The area around Falfurrias is a big in dairy production. There is even a brand of butter called "Falfurrias", which can be found in most S. Texas supermarkets.

About 10 years ago, for whatever reason, Falfurrias High School began referring to themselves as the "Jersey Bulls" to make it sound tougher, I guess.
