I have freshmen, who, because their test is shorter, finish up to two hours early. They have to either read or sleep (nothing else). And we can't do either. Thank God it's over.

I have a strange feeling that more than just the budget will be small in that movie.

TAKS was a disaster today. The principal in charge figured that only 100 students would not be done at 11:45. It ended up being 400. So they pushed 'A' lunch back to 1:00(there are 4 lunches 30 min each). D lunch didn't start until 2:30 and school ended at 3:55. The seniors had to be at school at 12:00, but they had no where to go until regular taks classes were done which was 1:00. Half of the school just went home during lunch.

The short answer and essay prompts were pretty easy.

Well, wherever you are, those teachers should be fired. It says in the oath that they sign, bigger than Dallas, they are NOT to turn on their computers. Geeez.

our Oath didnt say that I dont think. Our school district just made it their policy that computers be off. I dont think the state has mandated it but I may be wrong

Yes, lets fire a teacher because they have a computer on. After all everyone is itching to be a teacher.

Sorry, but I am just aggravated lately because no one thinks that they have to follow the rules, regardless if they agree with them.

BTW, how can you even be on your computer when you are supposed to be "actively monitoring" students taking the TAKS?

I give the state credit the TAKS is a much tougher then the TAAS which was very simple. I just disagree with the fact that that one test decides if you graduate or not, thakfully I passed all easily on my first try :D
